Eyal Resh is a live action and animation filmmaker based in LA and NY. Emerging from Tel Aviv’s art scene, he graduated with excellence in film from Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, and later served as the film director of the Israeli Air Force Cinema Unit.
He participated in the prestigious exchange program at the dffb film school in Berlin and in 2015 graduated the MFA Film Directing Program at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) where he was mentored by James Franco, Adam Davidson and more.
Eyal’s films explore the intricacies of the human condition through themes such as intimacy, sex and communication.
Eyal’s work has screened in numerous festivals such as LA Film Festival by Film-independent, Outfest, Viennale, Hollyshorts and Asif to mention a few. His work was also chosen twice to represent CalArts at REDCAT, LA. His film, BOYS, was distributed nationally and internationally and is available on Amazon and Vimeo on demand. It was viewed more than 800K times this year.
Eyal recently finished directing animation in a project to be released on Hulu and theaters in 2019. And his next film, SEE THROUGH, is staring Tony nominee Lauren Ridloff.
